MEC CHAPLAINCY TRAINING 2026

A Virtual Interactive In-Service Training Program

Sunday April 26th 10 AM to 6:30 PM ET

Theme: “Pastoral Challenges at the Crossroads of Faith, Justice, and Responsibility”

The Muslim Endorsement Council (MEC) is pleased to announce an invitation to submit presentation proposals for MEC CHAPLAINCY TRAINING 2026, A Virtual Interactive In-Service Training Program on Sunday April 26th 10AM to 6:30PM ET.  This training endeavors each year to provide key opportunities for chaplains, and other service providers to the Muslim community to enhance their skills. This is a call for proposals for scholarly papers, interactive workshops based on the theme, “Pastoral Challenges at the Crossroads of Faith, Justice, and Responsibility. ” Through theological reflection and practical skill-building, chaplains will explore strategies for navigating current complex challenges. This training will emphasize their role as trusted voices who must maintain accountability in caring, upholding faith-based values, and advocating for justice.

We are looking for presenters who have solidly developed their topic area, are able to inform chaplains from diverse settings and deliver insightful and engaging presentations. We seek theme-centered presentations and welcome submissions that have not been presented before. In addition to interactive workshops, authors may also submit their proposals. We encourage the submission of advanced-level material for our seasoned chaplains, as well as presentations suitable for early- and mid-vocation chaplains, Distinctive Faith Group Leader (DFGL), and other related service providers.
